My friend's handbag got stolen in Ngee Ann City Food Court last night. I wasn't there but I was suppose to meet her when the incident happened. She and another friend was having dinner at the food court but decided to leave their bags on the seat because the stall was just two tables away. They claimed that their eyes were all on their bags the whole time while they are at the stall, and within a split second when they turned their heads to grab the cutlery, one of my friend's bag was GONE. They were shocked and quickly looked around but no one was running. According to them, it was only seconds when their eyes were on the bags and next second it was already gone. This is how fast the thieves were and we were quite sure it must be done by a group of syndicates. She has her iphone & ipad inside her bag so it was quite a huge loss and causes alot of inconvenience, not just the monetary loss.

I accompanied her to the nearest police station in Killiney road and we saw a Korean Tourist who also met the same unfortunate incident. Her handbag which was in her baby pram while she was browsing some things in a shop in forum was stolen. She said that her kids were running around the pram and she was browsing around and next thing she knows is her handbag was gone. Her passport, camera, wallet, handphone etc was inside and as you can imagine losing your passport can be such a big headache while traveling. I felt really sorry for her and to think she would have thought Singapore is a safe city and couldn't have thought her bag will be stolen while she is in the midst of shopping. 

There were no CCTV in the foodcourt and the shop itself. The security guard at Ngee Ann City was as good as useless. They did not offer any substantial help to my friend and only 'advised' her to report to the police. It is when such shit happens that makes me realise how shitty the security guards at shopping malls are and how we cannot depend on them!

Shortly after us, there was another Korean student who lost her laptop at the same place in Ngee Ann City but at Level 4. 

The policemen that attended to us weren't as professional as I thought they would be. Besides asking lengthy question on the items inside the bag that was stolen, including the value of the ipad & iphone (GOD KNOWS WTF), they didn't offer any immediate assistance by calling the security in the respective malls immediately nor give you any advise how they are going to proceed for the investigation. The reporting procedure was lengthy, took us more than 1 hours including the lengthy waiting time. If i am the thief, I could have board the next plane back to whatever i came from.


This taught me a very important lesson that is depend on no one but yourself for the safety of your own belongings.

Also, probably the least is to download the lost phone application in the phone in the hope that one can still trace the last location of the thief if he is not that fast enough to switch off the phone.

Be vigilance, ALWAYS. 

 

With you or without you, it is the same. 

Even though road accidents happen everyday in the world, it is still shocking and saddening to see the news and video of the tragic accident that happened in the junction of Rochor Road & Victoria Street that happened last week. 

I am really upset and angry with the Ferrari Driver for speeding and causing this tragic. How can one be so irresponsible and drive at such high speed? The road does not belong to one and everyone has the responsibility to drive at safe speed, always keep a safe distance and always never tail gate. Speeding is unforgivable & i urge all my friends and loved one never ever speed. No one single driver can manage any a car when it is travelling at such high speed, even if you are a professional F1 driver, you will never ever be able to handle. If you fancy the adrenaline rush, go sky-diving, do bungee jump. It is horrible to take human life so lightly. 

This serves as a reminder to myself to be responsible to all road users when I'm driving on the road. 

My deepest condolences to the father and the Japanese lady. May the strength be with all their families & loved ones.

Someone told me that life is a suffering and heaven provided eternal happiness with no suffering. Of course compared to people starving in Africa and people living under civil unrest and brutality , they suffer one million times more than what Singaporeans are suffering now. I would like to think that our present system of high inflation is making our life extremely stressful yet stress itself doesn't kill you. Think about no food to eat, think about no clean water to drink, think about someone killing/abusing you or your loved ones. To me, this really Kill you.  

I believe everyone is living in this world for a purpose. How each of us decide to live our life depends on the choices we made. Yes i have to work in order to eat, to pay my bills yet I don't feel that this is a suffering, this is what each of us has to go through. Some of us may take a longer time that our friends who are born with a silver spoon to enjoy the lifestyle we want yet through continuous hard work, we will one day achieve it. 

I have a dream & my dream is to make everyone realize their dreams and make it happen. Only when you are able to fulfill your dream, then you will be able to help others do the same. 

I don't really know if heaven exist, nobody really knows either but one thing I am very sure is Live Your Present Life To The Fullest.
Do Not Have Any Regrets. Do What You Wanna Do, And Give Your Best Shot.

 

You always gets hurt the most when your good friends reject you. I believe what S told me, you will never recommend something to your good friends or family if you know they were no good. Yet, most of the time, people tend to what to believe what a stranger tells them rather than a friend they know. Even if you show them scientific facts, they choose to believe what they think they know despite they never did the research themselves. I will not get disheartened because at least there are still three person that strongly believes in what i believe in, my Pa, My Ma and Hubby. For them, i will keep on fighting for what i believe in and help my loved ones to achieve what they deserve. Good health and Good wealth. I will not give up!



 

At the end of the day, no one can take care of your own health other than yourself.

No insurance company is going to take the risk for you should you fall sick before you buy the coverage. 

Hence, before you fall sick , which you will, considering the high rate of degenerative chronic disease among people around us, we ought to realise that investing in your own health is as good as savings. You don't wish to spend your hardearned money to doctors and hospitals and also more importantly your life is more useful when spent correctly, not in/out of hospitals. 

It is very sad to see people around you, especially your loved one fell sick one by one. If you know that prevention can help them not suffer from those chronic diseases, we have the responsibility to share with people what we know that could help each other. For a healthier and better life.
